What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a gentle, holistic therapy that works on the principle that specific points on the feet, hands, face, head and ears correspond to different organs, glands, and systems within the body.

By applying targeted pressure to these reflex points, Reflexology encourages the body’s own natural healing processes, helping to restore balance, improve circulation, and promote overall wellbeing.

What to Expect During a Reflexology Treatment

Each treatment is tailored to your individual needs. After a brief consultation to discuss your health and wellbeing goals, you’ll relax in a comfortable position while I apply gentle, focused pressure to the relevant reflex points.

The experience is deeply calming—many clients drift into a meditative or sleep-like state during their session.

Treatments typically last between an hour, leaving you feeling relaxed, rebalanced, and refreshed.

How Reflexology Can Support You

Reflexology helps reduce stress and tension, bringing your body and mind back into a state of balance.

By stimulating the nervous system and improving circulation, it encourages your body to function more efficiently.

Regular treatments can enhance these benefits, helping to build resilience to stress, improve emotional wellbeing, and support your long-term physical health.

What Can Reflexology Help With?

Reflexology may help with a wide range of physical and emotional concerns, including:

  • Stress and anxiety
  • Sleep disturbances and insomnia
  • Hormonal imbalances (such as PMS and menopause symptoms)
  • Digestive issues (including bloating and IBS)
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Low energy and fatigue
  • Muscle tension and general aches and pains
  • Emotional wellbeing and mood balance

While Reflexology is not a replacement for medical care, it can be a valuable part of your self-care and wellness routine, helping you feel more balanced, relaxed, and in tune with your body.

Reflexology for Maternity Support

Maternity Reflexology is a specialised area of Reflexology designed to support women throughout all stages of pregnancy—from conception and fertility challenges to pregnancy, labour preparation, and postnatal recovery.  Treatments can help reduce common pregnancy discomforts such as morning sickness, backache, swollen ankles, and fatigue, while also promoting relaxation and emotional wellbeing.

Reflexology is a gentle, natural way to help the body adapt to the physical and hormonal changes of pregnancy and can offer valuable support in preparing for labour and encouraging postnatal healing.

Reflexology for Menopause Support

Reflexology can be a supportive and nurturing therapy for women going through perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause.

By encouraging hormonal balance and calming the nervous system, treatments may help ease a variety of common symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, mood swings, anxiety, low energy, and disrupted sleep.

Reflexology offers a natural way to support your body and mind through this transitional stage, helping you to feel more balanced, grounded, and emotionally resilient.

Reflexology for Cancer Support

Reflexology can offer comfort and support to individuals living with cancer, whether during treatment, recovery, or beyond.

While it is not a cure for cancer, Reflexology can help promote relaxation, reduce anxiety, improve sleep, and ease some of the side effects of treatments such as fatigue, nausea, or stress.

Each session is adapted to your needs on the day, providing a safe, calming space where you can simply rest and allow your body and mind to relax.  It’s a gentle, non-invasive therapy that focuses on enhancing your overall wellbeing at a time when extra care and support can make a real difference
